“To be prepared” is the most effective way to face any disaster or emergency that may come your way. While it’s important to have survival supplies, there is no point in having the supplies sitting around in various cabinets and closets distributed throughout the house. Emergency Preparedness Kit
Building your own emergency preparedness kit is fairly easy. You just have to focus on the things you need for survival. Some examples would be things such as non-perishable food, water, first aid kit, flashlight, extra batteries, local maps, personal hygiene items, whistle, blankets and the like. You can also add more items to it in case you’ve thought of other things that would be useful in times of emergency.
Use a clearly labeled, easy-to-carry, sealable container whenever packing the items. The more emergency kits you can put together, the better, meaning you can build a kit for your car, office, home and for outdoors. This would ensure that you have something to rely on wherever disaster strikes.
